Madrone GSPs is a family hobby with Molly Howard (mom), Mark Howard (son) and Susan Grayshon (daughter)all getting into the act. We have been active in German Shorthaired Pointers for two decades. All of our dogs are house dogs and we breed a quality litter every year or two.
Molly Howard
Molly has owned and bred German Shorthaired Pointers for over 20 years. She has put obedience titles on several sporting breeds and agility and hunting titles on many German Shorthaired Pointers. She was married to the late Ralph Howard for 42 years and currently lives with one Madrone GSP. Molly is the mother of five grown children and grandmother of seven. She is a long-time member of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America and has been the editor of the Gulf Coast German Shorthaired Pointer Club's monthly newsletter, On Point, for eighteen years.
Mark Howard
Mark's first love is field work, but he is also a superb agility handler, having trained and handled three of our GSPs to their advanced agility titles. He has also trained and handled five Madrone GSPs to their Master Hunter titles and one to her Amateur Field Championship. Mark is currently training and handling both Ring and Dizzy in field trials and Ring in agility. He lives with two Madrone GSPs. His male is both a Show Champion and Master Hunter and his female, Dizzy, was ranked in the top ten Puppy/Derby GSPs throughout the entire year of 2006. He is the former president of the Gulf Coast German Shorthaired Pointer Club and chairman for the local GSPCA Water Ratings Test.
Susan Grayshon
Susan has put championship titles on many sporting dogs. She is married to Richard Grayshon and they have one son, Matthew, who is 13 years old. The Grayshon's currently live with two Madrone GSPs.
