Betsy got her third show point at the Ft. Bend KC show on Sunday, January 22.
Betsy earned her second show point out of the 6-9month puppy class at the Trinity Valley KC show on December 11.
Betsy picked up her first show point at barely 6 months old at the Town & Country KC show on November 20.
After picking up three single points at the Oklahoma City shows, Bobby finished his show championship by going Winners Dog for 2 points on the first day of the Dallas circuit—July 8, 2011.
We received word from OFA that Bobby’s hips are “Excellent.”
Bobby won a second major (this time a four point one) at the Colorado Springs KC show on June 12th.
Bobby won a major at the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Colorado Specialty on Friday afternoon, June 10th.
Flip gave birth to five girls and one boy on May 7. Mother and babies are all doing well.
Flip’s x-ray confirmed that she is carrying at least six puppies.
Flip had an ultrasound today and it confirmed that she is pregnant. The sire is Up N’ Adam’s Madrone London Cop and the litter is expected around May 6th.
Bobby won BOW and took a point at the Brazos Valley KC show on April 2nd.
The weekend of Mar 20-21 was a good one for Jackson Howard. He qualified Ring and Riot both days at the Lone Star GSPC hunt tests, giving Ring her fourth and fifth qualifying scores at the Senior level and earning Riot’s Junior Hunter title.
Jackson picked up Riot’s second JH leg with a score of 8.5 at the Gulf Coast GSP Club’s hunt test on March 5th in Cibilo, TX
The Grayshon family has a new French Bulldog puppy named Dee Dee.
Jackson Howard, my grandson (age 10), has ben racking up the qualifying scores in the pointing breed hunting tests. So, far he has 5 for 5. He’s qualified once with Ring in Junior (9.5) and three times with her in Senior. He even got Riot’s first JH leg at the Irish Setter Club of Houston test in Caldwell on January 23rd.
Update on Faith……………..She was escaping the Grayshon back yard and going to visit their next-door neighbor so he decided to adopt her as a companion for his Great Dane mix. All is going well and it looks like the Grayshon family will be getting a French Bulldog puppy sometime in February.
The Grayshon family has adopted a mixed-breed puppy that was hanging around my house. They named her Faith and apparently she’s fitting right in. Housebreaking is going well and Joy adores her.
I started “force breaking” Flip today (December 26) for the retrieve. Mark wanted me to wait until she was almost broke so she wouldn’t be too stressed out with the new training. The way she clamps her mouth shut instead of taking the dumbbell, I have a feeling I’M going to be the one who’s stressed out!
Ring and Jackson Howard (age 10) entered the Texas Gulf Coast Vizsla Club’s hunt test on December 12 and scored an average of 9.5 in Junior. Ring found birds where no other dogs did and the two of them tore up the course. The plan is to enter her in Senior next time and see if the duo can sail through the advanced classes.
Flip earned three V-1 ratings and three UCICB cards (Certificates of Beauty) at the International Shows sponsored by Alle Rasse Grupe to become an International Champion on November 7.
We have received word from AKC that we are officially a “Breeder Of Merit” and received a banner for our web site.
We received Flip’s CERF certification in the mail on September 27. It states that “no inherited eye disease was found.”
Labor Day Weekend: All of the puppies from our “Surprise Litter” have gone to their new homes.
We have received Flip’s OFA rating in the mail. Her elbows are normal and her hips are OFA EXCELLENT!
Flip finished her Show Championship in style by winning a 5 point major and Best of Winners from the Open Bitch class at the Galveston County KC show on July 25 at the Reliant World Series of Dog Shows.
